I have heard people moan about how much paperwork is needed to get the job done these days.
Its about time that everyone thinks long and hard about why we now have EVEN more paperwork than before. I really get that its not the piece of paper that will save a life – its the safe behaviours around that paper that DOES save a life.
When you next go out on the job have a look at the positive behaviours and then take a look at the at-risk behaviours. What are your safety behaviours like? Do you take your time to do it right or are you chasing your tails?
Remember its all about choice. Either you do it right and safely according the to procedures and go home safe OR you do it wrong, take shortcuts, break the rules and eventually you WILL get hurt.
